Although it’s named the Adam Thoroughgood House, it wasn’t built by Adam, but by his great-grandson, Argall Thorowgood II. This palatial home is a leading example (and one of the lone survivors) of early colonial architecture in Virginia. We’re working with @lrnow to photograph some of our area’s oldest, most unique trees and showcase them in a new light.
